in the shadows you can’t quite catch it
moving through the dappled light stands the horned man

it’s the pipes of Pan

from dark secret places
where salmon wisdom dreams in rivers cold and deep
beyond the hidden world
spirits stir at his passing
Pan walks on cloven hooves to where the old Gods sleep
