Mirrors

I simply cannot recognize this face looking straight back at me
though it seems so familiar as if I had seen it a million times before
and the vicious cycle never ends
it spins around until it bends
and then it starts all over again
and the words you constantly repeat
I cannot help but wonder what do they really mean
the have lost all the power in me and I simply do not believe
up and down my twisted spine reaching deep for my hidden scars
and it hurts so bad
