Today I found a letter addressed to Old Saint Nick
I can't believe the words I read came from a boy just six
It read "Santa there's been some changes at our house this year
And I had to let you know 'cause Christmas time is near"

Leave my bike at Daddy's he wants to see me ride
Leave my train at Mama's so I can play inside
I know this sounds confusing, but it's really not to me

A tear from my eye fell to the letter in my hand
I realized my little boy was quite a little man
I thought he would be thinkin' of all his Christmas toys
But he was more concerned how he could spread his Christmas joy
