There were two buzzards flying together
Wing tip to wing tip, feather to feather
One said, "I want to know just where the river goes"
They were sitting high in the tree
One said to the other "You can never see just where the river goes
But it never freezes, oh, it never snows"

Braden River is soft and slow
It's muddy on top

I watched the clouds in the lonely sky
